This polish is another from the Mariah Carey OPI Liquid Sand collection. This is a blue with tons of blue and silver glitter which becomes matte on your nails. I do like this colour and I did like it on the nails although I am still not too sure about the matte glitter effect.
Again the thing I did not like about this polish was the feel of it on my nails. The gritty feeling when you touch you nails together or catch them on something makes me shudder. These seem worse than normal glitters too for some reason.
The polish was opaque in two coats though and easy to apply. The jury is still out here, nice colour but not sure of the effect.

Can't Let Go by OPI
So you might notice that my last post was not Can't Let Go by OPI as previously promised but Halographic by Color Club. Apparently I do not know my alphabet at all! Apologies for the confusion.
Can't Let Go by OPI is part of the Mariah Carey Liquid Sand Collection. I was bought this set of OPI miniatures for Mothers Day. Although not normally a huge glitter fan, I was curious as to how the matte effect of the glitter would work. The miniature versions seemed the way to go, as they would not cost the earth if I didn't like them and I got to try out all four different colours.
Can't Let Go is a purple with matte glitter. The colour is nice but the effect is strange, it just looks gritty (well I suppose it is liquid sand!). I can't quite decide whether I like the effect or not.
The texture of the polish is what puts me off the most though. The feel of my nails when they catch together is like fingernails on a chalk board, it just goes through me. The glitter also requires the tin foil trick to remove the polish, no way was it coming off without doing it that way.
The jury is still out for me on the liquid sand polishes. We'll see whether I like the other three.
Next up is Get Your Number by OPI.

Halo Graphic by Color Club
I first saw this polish mentioned in a haul video on YouTube and I absolutely loved it. I tracked it down to a UK website and my lovely children bought me it for Mothers Day. The polish is part of the 2012 Color Club Holo Hues collection. This one is pink with a holographic effect giving a rainbow hue to the polish. Out of the sunlight it's a nice pink colour with slight sparkle to it, but in the sunlight it is absolutely amazing.
The formula of this polish is really good and it was virtually opaque in a single coat. I have a couple of the polishes from the Halo Hues collection but I'm not sure whether I would buy any more or any from the 2013 collection as I think the effect is the same and I have the two colours I loved the most. But they are worth getting at least one.

Purple Sherbet by Ciate
I got this polish free last year I think with Marie Claire magazine (it's the only time I ever buy it when they are giving away free nail polish!). The colour is a pale purple similar to one of my favourites, Berry Ice Cream from Barry M. It is a cream polish and the colour is just beautiful in the bottle and on the nails.
I find Ciate hit and miss when it comes to the formula and consistency of the polishes. Sometimes they can be very streaky and difficult to apply and other times they need a large number of coats to be even, but this one I found was great, easy to apply and opaque in two coats.
My nails looked so spring like wearing this colour and I must confess, I liked it as much (if not more - gasp!) then Berry Ice Cream! Given it was a freebie, I am not sure whether this is part of Ciate's permanent collection, but I'm sure it can be found on ebay and it is well worth tracking a bottle down.
That concludes the P's. Before I start the R's however, I need to backtrack through a number of A to O polishes which I have bought over the last couple of months, starting with Can't Let Go by OPI.

Purple Reign by Rimmel
This polish is part of the new Metal Rush collection from Rimmel. It is supposed to "Flip your Colour", I assume if you add this over the top of another polish it would change the colour of the polish. I decided to try the polish on its own as I actually like the duochrome effect of purple and red of this polish. The polish is more purple than red on the nails but in certain lights you can see the change.
The formula of this polish is good and it has a wide brush which makes for easy application. Two coats was enough to get an opaque finish.
All in all I liked this polish on its own. I would be interested to see what the polish looks like on top of others and look forward to exploring what colours it would look best paired with.

Purple Rain by Autograph (Marks and Spencer)
My Mother in Law bought me this nail polish for Christmas (knowing my love of nail polish all too well, she feeds my habit!). This polish is a beautiful pink/purple colour shot through with multi coloured glitter so that it sparkles in the light. So pretty in the bottle and on the nails. The glitter is very evenly distributed across the polish and so you get a really nice effect on the nails.
The formula is very good and it applied easily. I have a couple of nail polishes from Marks and Spencer and they have all been good quality. Its not somewhere that I shop very often and this polish was not so remarkable that I feel I need to check out the rest of the range but I do like it very much.

Purple Pulse by Sally Hansen
This polish was one of the first Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes I bought. Boots were having a deal on them at the time and I just absolutely loved this colour as soon as I saw it. I love all things purple anyway and this is very Cadburys purple with hints of silver shimmer running through it. I was quite disappointed then when I first applied it, as it seemed quite dull in artificial light. Its only when you get your nails into the sunlight that you can truly appreciate the depth of colour and shimmer that this polish has. Really lovely.
The formula of Sally Hansen polishes is great as always and these polishes have really wide brushes for easy application. My only slight gripe is that the brushes are so wide I find I tend to paint the side of my nails as well, but it soon comes off so no big deal really.

Purple Diamond by Sinful Colors
I was sent this polish by a friend from the US before Sinful Colors was readily available in the UK (you can now buy them in selected Boots stores and online). The colour is a light purple similar to Prickly Pear from Barry M which I have just recently worn but maybe a bit more pinky. However instead of a cream polish, this polish is full of shimmery micro particles of glitter. It looks amazing in the bottle when you hold it up to the light and it does translate onto the nails well. I loved being out in the sunlight with this polish on as my nails really did shimmer.
The formula of this polish is ok if not on the slightly thin side. It did take three coats of this to achieve an opaque finish. It also took a little extra work to remove it given all the micro particles of glitter in it, but it was not so bad that I had to resort to the tin foil removal method.
I really like this polish so my friend made an excellent choice for me.
